April 24 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pmFree
The Wellington Caves fossils are endless, and so is our need for help to find them!
FUPS are holding ANOTHER sorting day on Tuesday 24th April, drag yourself down to the prep lab room 123 between 10am and 2pm. Hang with the other palaeo-nerds, swap yarns, learn about bones and get hands on with fossils.
Sorting is easy, you tip a small bag of cave sediment in to a tray then look through it with a paintbrush and forceps, picking out the pretty fossils. No experience is necessary and FUPS will supply all sorting equipment, light snacks and a soft drink.
Seats are limited so RSVP is essential. Due to university policy, all participants must be aged 18+. Enquiries and RSVP to Diana at email@example.com
Your help on these sorting days is saving Diana’s butt, directly contributing to data collection for an ongoing Flinders University research project investigating faunal response to late Quaternary environmental change.
Hope to see you there!
